Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 eggroll wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled (or diced chicken)
  • 2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled turkey bacon (or chicken), chopped jalapeños, green onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  2. Assemble the Eggrolls: Place an eggroll wrapper on a clean surface. Add about 2 tablespoons of filling diagonally across the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal edges with water.
  3. Heat the Oil: In a deep skillet or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry: Carefully place eggrolls seam side down into hot oil. Fry in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Drain and Serve: Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
