  • 12 oz milk or dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 cup soft baking caramels (melted)
  • 1 medium green apple (chopped or thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup chopped gluten-free pretzels or nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Soak apple pieces in water mixed with lemon juice for 5-10 minutes to prevent browning.
  2. Melt chocolate and coconut oil using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals until smooth.
  3. Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper and spread the melted chocolate into an even layer.
  4. Sprinkle crushed pretzels over the chocolate, then add diced apples. Drizzle with melted caramel and additional chocolate.
  5. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until set; optionally freeze for the last 20 minutes for easier breaking.
  6. Once hardened, break into pieces or cut into squares.
