  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
  • For the glaze: 1/4 cup unsalted butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp milk, 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast chopped pecans for about 5–7 minutes until fragrant.
  2. In a bowl, cream softened butter with brown and granulated sugars until fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; then gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in toasted pecans gently.
  6. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets; space them two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Prepare glaze by melting butter and brown sugar; stir in milk and whisk in powdered sugar.
  10. Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies.
