  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin (for sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander (for sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala (for sauce)
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric (for sauce)
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (for sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (for sauce, adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in a mixture of Greek yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and spices for at least one hour.
